Deborah Enyonam Ofori

My name is Deborah Enyonam Ofori, and I’m a final-year medical student at the University of Health and Allied Sciences. I’ve always been driven by a passion for Sciences and Mathematics, thanks to my parents, both mathematicians.
My journey in STEM was further ignited during my time at University Basic School, where hands-on experiments sparked my love for Science.
At Wesley Girls’ High School, I faced challenges in Chemistry and Physics, but with the support of my teachers and friends, I persevered and thrived.
A highlight of my STEM journey was participating in a Vodafone Ghana Foundation STEM camp, where I was inspired by women in STEM fields. This experience solidified my desire to pursue a career in STEM and motivated me to join this mentorship program. Through the guidance of my family, I decided to study Medicine at the university level.
I embrace every challenge I face and see it as an opportunity to learn and get better. I thank God for bringing me this far. I’m excited to connect with like-minded women, learn from their experiences, and offer guidance to young women interested in STEM.
