Esther-Nicole Adomako

I’m Esther-Nicole Adomako, a medical microbiologist turned product designer, UX writer & researcher. You may simply address me as Nicole. I’m a product designer who finds fulfilment in designing user-focused experiences and products that solve real user problems backed by research and leveraging AI.
I believe my background in medical microbiology helps me approach design challenges with empathy, curiosity and clarity. I have worked solely and collaboratively on projects in the banking, fintech, ed-tech, content, health and fashion spaces.
I enjoy every step of product development, from UX research and ideating, to designing and wire-framing, UX writing and localisation, prototyping and usability testing and finally launching. Some tools I work with include, but are not limited to Figma, Lovable, Framer, Motif, Adobe XD, Maze, Notion, Qwen, Gemini, DeepSeek and ChatGPT. I believe good designs should be simple, usable, inclusive, and most importantly, solve real people-problems.
When I am not designing or deep-working, you may find me advocating for educational causes, reading any book, writing, road-tripping, watching documentaries/movies, preserving foods, learning something new in the AI space or collaborating with UX community members.
With advocacy, I am a member and an alumni of Young Diplomats of Ghana (YDG). During my cohort, I was an ambassador for Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), Quality Education.
I was awarded the Certificate of Honour for emerging as the Best Speaker at the 2018 International Youth Day Celebration Debate, as part of the Ghana Youth Meeting at the World Bank Group to celebrate the International Youth Day in Ghana.
My team also won the debate of the day.
My Mantra: You can be anything you want to be if you’re consistent. Fun fact: I’m a professional singer, gigs excite me 💃🏽💥
